Help Nature Friends LA Recover and Rebuild
In January 2025, the Eaton Fire destroyed the historic Nature Friends Los Angeles clubhouse and caused extensive damage across the property. Since then, our members, volunteers, neighboring branches, and supporters have helped us make steady progress toward rebuilding.
Much has already been accomplished. The property has been cleared, essential infrastructure has been restored, and a new bar and kitchen have been completed. Work is now focused on finishing the new restroom and preparing the surviving dormitory for overnight use.
Choose How You Would Like to Give
There are two ways to support the recovery, depending on the size and purpose of your gift.
1 - Make a Direct Donation to Nature Friends LA
Members and supporters making smaller donations may give directly to Nature Friends Los Angeles.
These contributions go directly to the club and help fund immediate recovery needs, furnishings, supplies, and property improvements.
Please note: Nature Friends Los Angeles is a 501(c)(7) social club, so donations made directly to the club are generally not tax-deductible.
2 - Make a Tax-Deductible Gift Through the Foundation
For large Non-member gifts
Larger gifts from members and the general public may be made through the Nature Friends Foundation.
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and can accept tax-deductible contributions in support of qualified recovery and rebuilding projects benefiting Nature Friends Los Angeles.
This option may be especially appropriate for larger donations, charitable gifts, employer matching programs, or donors who would like a tax receipt.

Nature Friends Los Angeles has been part of the Southern California community for generations. Rebuilding after the fire is a major undertaking, but the support we have already received has shown how much this place means to our members and friends.

Our Current Need
The next phase of recovery will help us return the property to fuller use for members, guests, and community activities.
Current priorities include:
Completing the new restroom
Purchasing bunk beds and other furniture for the dormitory
Preparing the bunk room for overnight guests
Restoring the property’s ability to host gatherings, retreats, and member stays
